One contractor for the whole scope
Most sauna jobs in Dubai go wrong at the handover points — the carpenter blames the electrician, the electrician blames the tiler, and the villa owner chases three companies. We hold carpentry, waterproofing, electrical and commissioning under one contract, so there is one number to call when something needs fixing.

Four things move a quote more than anything else: whether the room needs tanking from scratch, the heater or generator rating, the cladding timber, and whether your distribution board has spare capacity. A villa with a three phase supply and an existing wet room is at the bottom of every band. An apartment needing a new circuit and full waterproofing is at the top.
Sauna or steam room
The question we get asked before every villa job. They are different machines solving different problems, and the build costs differ more than most people expect.
Sauna — dry heat
- 80–100°C at 5–15% humidity
- Timber shell, no waterproofing needed, so roughly 30% cheaper to build
- Heats in 30–40 minutes, holds heat well
- Harsh on the airways for some people, especially asthma sufferers
- Bench timber must be knot-free — knots reach skin-burning temperatures
- Runs on a dedicated 32A circuit at 6kW
Steam room — wet heat
- 43–46°C at 100% humidity
- Needs full tanking, a fall to drain and a sealed door — this is where the cost sits
- Fills in 10–15 minutes
- Gentler on breathing, better for sinuses and skin
- Ceiling must slope at least 3° or condensation drips on whoever is sitting below
- UAE hard water scales the generator — descaling every 6 months is not optional
If you have the space and budget for both, build them adjacent with the plunge pool between. That is the layout every hotel spa in Dubai uses, and it works just as well in a villa basement.

Site survey
We measure the room, check ceiling height, find the drainage, and open your distribution board to see what spare capacity actually exists. Free, and usually within 48 hours of your message.
Design and fixed quote
Layout drawing, timber and heater specification, and a priced quote broken into materials, labour, electrical and commissioning. The number does not move unless you change the scope.
Approvals
We prepare the developer or building NOC pack, and where the work touches drainage or the building envelope, the municipality submission. Most villa jobs need the NOC only.
Build
Framing, insulation, vapour barrier or tanking, cladding or tiling, electrical second fix, glass, and benches. One team, no subcontractor handovers.
Commissioning and handover
Full heat cycle, temperature and humidity verified against spec, controls demonstrated, and a maintenance schedule written for your specific room. Warranty documents issued the same day.

How much does sauna steam room installation cost in Dubai?
A pre-built two to three person sauna cabin starts around AED 18,000 installed. A custom Finnish sauna for four to six people runs AED 45,000 to 95,000. A tiled steam room is AED 35,000 to 75,000. A full hammam with heated marble can reach AED 300,000. The variables that move the number most are room size, whether the space needs tanking from scratch, and the heater or generator specification.
How long does a sauna or steam room take to install?
A pre-built cabin is delivered and commissioned in two to four weeks. A custom sauna takes six to ten weeks from signed quote. A tiled steam room takes eight to twelve weeks, because tanking and tile curing cannot be rushed without guaranteeing a leak. Hammams with heated marble run twelve to twenty weeks.
Can I install a sauna in a Dubai apartment?
Usually yes, with two conditions. The apartment needs spare electrical capacity for the heater, and building management needs to issue an NOC. Infrared cabins are the easiest route because most run from a standard 13A socket. Traditional saunas above 6kW normally need a dedicated circuit, and sometimes a three phase supply that apartments rarely have.
Do I need Dubai Municipality approval for a steam room?
A sauna or steam room built inside an existing room, with no structural change, generally needs a developer or building NOC rather than a municipality permit. Work that alters drainage, creates a wet area where none existed, or changes the building envelope does require submission. We tell you which category your job falls into at survey stage, before you commit to anything.
What electrical supply does a sauna need?
Budget roughly one kilowatt of heater capacity per cubic metre of cabin volume. A 6kW heater serving a four person sauna needs a dedicated 32A circuit. Heaters of 9kW and above generally need a three phase supply, which is common in villas but rare in apartments. We open the DB during the site survey so this is settled before you see a price.
How often does a steam generator need servicing in the UAE?
Every six months, and that is not us selling a contract. UAE mains water is hard enough that scale builds on the heating element fast. A generator that is descaled twice a year lasts eight to ten years. One that is never descaled typically fails somewhere between year two and year three, and the replacement costs more than a decade of servicing.
Do you work outside Dubai?
Yes. We install across Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Jobs outside Dubai carry a mobilisation allowance shown as a separate line on the quote, so you can see what you are paying for travel rather than having it buried in the rate.
